Espaces des origines – Origines des espaces #7

Espaces des origines – Origines des espaces #7

The Faculty of Architecture of the Université libre de Bruxelles is using the opportunity of its tenth anniversary and the Photography and Architecture Triennial 2021 to publish the book, "Triennale Photographie et Architecture #7 _ Espaces des Origines / Origines des Espaces ".

Despite the absence of an exhibition due to the current health situation, this book is not only a specific theme but also an opportunity to take a retrospective look at an event that has been addressing architecture from the joint perspective of photography and narrative for 15 years now. It is a way of evoking the discipline beyond its formal value and aesthetic dimension, to invest its humanised, invisible, coded, mapped layers, its non-market exchange values, the meanings it helps to establish through its signs, in its most anonymous, day-to-day reality, that furthest from its status of object.

The Triennial: 7 events, 15 years, 65 authors, 139 stories, 195 photographers.

A project led by its curator, Marc Mawet, and strongly supported by the successive directors and deans of the ISACF La Cambre and the La Cambre-Horta Faculty.
