- About
- For that project we wanted to unite opening, external relationship, dialogue and strong indication.[...]
The reception area is on the ground floor. The auditorium is intentionnally located on the first floor, in order to create a volume enough significant. Its shape allows it to be clearly visible from any access point of the roundabout. It is closed and compact on the side of the roundabout, open to the pedestrian walk, the trees and the sun. There is a volunty of meaning opening and transparency to the pedestrians and vehicles. The lack of main frontage enhance its visibility as an object.
The building also propose innovative means to access to the information and internet. The « touchscreen » or « through glass » technology will allow the frontage to become interactive from the outside.
At night, the reception building becomes a « lantern ». A lighting system enlightens the frontage as soon as the day ends. At this point, the frontage material in ceramic plays a key role for the perception. It shows the vision of a contemporary and environmentally respectful architecture.
