Realisation of the new head office of Créative Architecture in Liège.

A bit tight in our former building, we’ve had the opportunity to purchase a land Quai de Coronmeuse in Liège. The site is located in a tiny artisanal zone and wasn’t really adapted to the creation of a production hall (6m large over 75m along a blind shared wall). However, it seemed totally fitted to the construction of our new offices.
We thought of a building on a half-level and open space to create as much synergy as possible between its users. Huge closets against the party wall and large openings put us in contact with our environment.
Wishing to create a striking, innovative and ground-breaking image, we also wished that the construction was the place for technical tests allowing us to confront the high energy performance and the permanent well-being in a constrained budget. We opted for wooden crates hanging from a wood/concrete structure. Insulation is very important, it allows us to reach a nearly passive heating level. The aluminium frames are equipped with high efficiency triple glazing.
The white is dominant, broken with anthracite parts supporting the building’s geometry. Some basic colour marks are left through the coloured glazing, which brings joyful reflections that brighten up the interior when the sun hits the building.
This building allows us to welcome our clients in optimum conditions.
