Construction of a nursery for 55 children

About

The project is located on a plot at the corner between the impasse Colonel Bourg and the future Médiapark street. The latter belongs to the RTBF site which is a private property. The high office buildings are to be demolished and rebuilt. The two streets are 3.5 meters apart in height and the building reconciles these two topographic levels. The project is being developed in two phases. In the first phase, the nursery will meet the existing needs (55 children) in an area of approximately 1000m2 (current project). In a second phase (in 2026) the nursery will increase its capacity by integrating a new volume that will connect it to the future Médiapark site. The units are arranged on two levels, the garden on the first floor and the second floor. On the first floor, we find the public access from the impasse Colonel Bourg, the reception hall, two units for "older children" with their respective gardens. On the second floor, there are two units for the youngest children with their outdoor spaces. In the basement are the technical areas and rooms dedicated to the personnel as well as the public access from the future Médiapark street. Finally, on the second level, there is a water play area dedicated to the children and rooms dedicated to the staff, as well as a vast roof terrace.
