- About
- The project was to remove the boundaries between these interventions within a single pavilion organized on two levels. The search for light and height of view has drawn an aerial volume reminiscent of the well-cut trees of Mont-des-Arts. The new complex comes to live, for a few days, this desolate area of the site. The exhibitors' requests and the technical structural constraints made it possible to wrap a single suspended space offering new framing on the site and protecting, on the lower level, the reception areas of the groups for the different workshops. A path is created from the sidewalk. He invites the public to climb the great blue stone stairs to step over the thick balustrade and discover the site from a new angle. The ephemeral pavilion is the result of a sustainable design approach and is only made from existing elements reused and re-employable. Borrowed from the vocabulary of the construction site present on the historic facades close to the Place de l'Albertine, the structure, the modular floors, the protective canvases or the ballast system become both support, envelope and cover. The set merges and plays with this existing decor loaded with advertising information and colors.[...]
