Agwa: Lecture at the Lisbon Triennial

Common Field: On Building with BAST + AgwA from Trienal de Lisboa on Vimeo.

AgwA will participate on 13 October 2021, together with BAST, in the Common Field conference cycle organised by the Lisbon Architecture Triennale in 2020 - 2022.

This event is focused on building -both its material definition and representation- as a fundamental stage of a learning process towards architecture understood as a common field of knowledge. The guests are the Brussels-based practice AgwA and the Toulouse based practice BAST -Bureau Architectures Sans Titre-, which will build a shared presentation introducing sites, procedures, worker choreographies and their specific attitude on the built world, through a series of renovations of different scale and character in Belgium and France.

In English, this conference combines a presentation from both guests and a conversation moderated by the curators of Common Field - Diana Menino and Felipe De Ferrari.

In architecture, a conference is one of the primordial ways of sharing knowledge. The conference cycles organised by Lisbon Architecture Triennale allows precisely that space, establishing a close proximity and dialogue between public and speakers.

Common Field is the new cycle that takes place between 2020-22, curated by Diana Menino and Felipe De Ferrari. This new approach makes architecture an imperative for change, in its condition of approaching the world and appropriation of reality. As a co-production with CCB, international guests gather around this field to analyze and debate the strategic attitude of architecture towards our days, among communities, people and different environments.
