Gilles Debrun, architect by MDW ARCHITECTURE, takes part in this conference in London. 

This talk will present MDW refurbishment project(s), such as Savonnerie Heymans, giving a European perspective on the issue of refurbishment. It should offer perspective of designing something within the parameters of an existing building, and also address the following:

- Are there different attitudes towards the reuse of existing blocks for housing in continental Europe?

- How can these kinds of dwellings be made into modern dwellings?

- Where does architectural creativity fit into the reuse of the existing building stock?
