The company Duvel Moortgat needed a new brew house and wanted to take this opportunity to open a part of the site and its facilities to the public. The gastronomic tourism booming and the growing interest to discover the process of making beer drain approximatively 20,000 visitors each year. The rules of hygiene of the food industry increasingly strict hinted at the impossibility of leaving the public walking freely around the fermentation tanks and other machines dedicated to the production of beer. Therefore we decided to develop a public ramp that wraps the building and allows visitors to discover the brewery and attend the different stages of production without hampering the rules of hygiene.
