Construction of a simple and functional dock A quay area on one level with the road network, equipped with the services essential to the reception of boats. A colonnade of poles – light which inscribes a perceived limit between the quay and the roadway and prints different rhythms according to the angle of vision. A large awning provides shelter from the rain or the sun. Light, in the form of bird's wings, it rests on thin randomly arranged columns. Construction of a footbridge: Point of view and Link of walking loops The footbridge rests on the platform side of the pillar building, spans the Chaussée de Vilvorde and slightly overhangs the industrial fringe to reach the heart of NHO. Located at the entrance to the city, it is building a new portico which announces the outer port of Brussels and encourages motorists to be careful. Overlooking the quay, it offers a unique view of the canal for pedestrians. Establishment of a HORECA establishment on the quay The building slips under the awning, it is designed in the form of two very long volumes which slide relative to each other to create singular interior and exterior places, functions of orientations and sunshine, views and passing dynamics. The main volume is “translucent”, a sort of lantern marking out the length of the canal. The secondary volume is completely glazed and hosts “terraces with a view of the canal”.
