A. Contesse: To exhibit architecture - Montreal

Exhibiting architecture raises the question of representation and mediation between what is exhibited and its context. Designed according to a site, a programme or a specific use, the architectural project presented in an exhibition space must redefine its relationship to the place and to the user. Extracted from its spatio-temporal and socio-cultural context, the content exhibited is subjected to a curatorial gaze and placed in a space that reveals its cultural imagination, underlines its relevance and recreates an environment that will present a significant contemporary experience to a wider public.

Louise Pelletier, Director of the Centre de design de l'UQAM, and Audrey Contesse, Director of the Institut Culturel d'Architecture Wallonie-Bruxelles, will discuss the role of the curator and the exhibition designer, using as an example some recent projects carried out at the Centre de design de l'UQAM on March 10 at 6:45 pm.

Conference to follow on the youtube channel.
