Traumnovelle is creating the scenography for the exhibition “Sorry, the file you have requested does not exist. Liebe Grüße ausGraz von Superstudio” at the Graz Haus Der Architektur from 21 September to 11 November 2019. “Congregation of the Machines” is a contemporary reinterpretation of the scenography of the fiftieth anniversary exhibition “Architecture and Freedom” that was held in Graz in Austria. The scenography alludes to the green space of the cinema studio, which is both a space without space, and the possibility of all spaces. It questions the infinite repetition of perceptible space in Superstudio’s Continuous Monument. During this exhibition, the radical Italian Superstudio architects presented their “Continuous monument: an architectural model for total urbanisation” for the first time, and the only spatial adaptation of this continuous monument was erected. “Congregation of the Machines” offers a physical interpretation of the digital world, replaying the emergence of a cyber-cosmogony based on the reinterpretation of Superstudio's work, perhaps offering a new answer to the question:“What is Freedom?”
