Exhibition Behind the Green Door by Rotor in Copenhagen
The exhibition Behind the Green Door by Rotor will run at the Danish Architecture Centre from 7 February to 25 May 2014.Wallonia-Brussels Architectures will organize a mission to Copenhagen in April as part of the launch of the publication linked to this exhibition. The exhibition is a new, Scandinavian-oriented version of the main exhibition at this year's Oslo Architecture Triennale hold from September 19th to December 1st 2013.The exhibition is the work of the esteemed Belgian curator team Rotor, who have collected more than 600 sustainable objects from 200 architectural practices, companies and environmental organisations from all over the world, all of whom are making significant strides with their initiatives in the area of sustainability.
The presentation of this extensive collection of objects is unpretentious and easily accessible, making it clear how sustainability, at an ever-increasing rate, is affecting the built environment and, consequently, our everyday lives.Among the architects presented in this exhibition, five are from Wallonia and Brussels: Atelier d'architecture Alain Richard (with Riva Bella, published in Visions), Atelier Carnoy-Crayon, Samyn and Partners, Luc Schuiten and Vincent Callebaut. The exhibition at the Danish Architecture Centre will be supplemented by a number of different events on the subject of sustainability. There will be an opening debate on February the 6th at 4.30 PM.
