Call for interest: (Re) Nouveaux Plaisirs d'Architect
As part of the Month of Architecture, the CIVA (Centre International pour la Ville, l’Architecture et le Paysage) and the Faculty of Architecture of La Cambre Horta of the ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) are officially launching a call for applications for the third [Re] Nouveaux Plaisirs d'Architecture.
This event, first held in 2004, is designed to highlight and promote the most socially-aware, most inventive and most creative architectural experiences in the French-speaking Community of Belgium through an exhibition, conferences, symposia, visit, etc.The incentive takes up the challenge of making experimental architecture accessible, attractive and enjoyable for a very broad public, without compromising the very high standards of quality.
Following on from a first exhibition in 2005 that put the focus on ”12 up-and-coming architects in the French-speaking Community of Belgium” (most of whom have more than lived up to their initial promise) and a second in 2007 subtitled “Playing with the rules” that made it possible to showcase other young talents (who have also gone on to great things since), the third edition of RNPA follows similar objectives to those of previous events -supporting up-and-coming architecture – yet is updated to reflect the major evolution underway on the current architectural landscape.
The resulting exhibition will be taken on tour abroad.Curators
