Aménagement des Quais de l'Escaut à Tournai

Programme

The project is a complete reorganisation of the urban space surrounding the river, in the historical perimeter of the centre of town. The goal is to bring back together the town and its river by encouraging another purpose for its bank, oriented towards the walk and discovery of the exceptional heritage of the city of Tournai. The project offers the structuring of the space in three “ribbons” guiding the river. The first one, bording the quay, is intended to be a pedestrian zone.
