Sports hall and playground in Aywaille

Programme: Renovation of the gymnasium and primary and secondary playgrounds at the Athénée Royal Princesse Elisabeth in Aywaille.

About: Following the floods, the gym and changing rooms were damaged and rendered unusable.
The floor and changing rooms were completely renovated. In addition, the hall was repainted to provide a space dedicated to both gymnastics classes and event organization.
The playgrounds and their drainage system were also severely affected by the overflowing Amblève. The refurbishment work provided an opportunity to rethink the courtyards, dewatering them, planting vegetation and making them more user-friendly and accessible.
