Next stop for Cities Connection Project 07: Luxembourg
After being shown in Barcelona, Bilbao, Girona, Lugano and Brussels, the exhibition “CCP07. Architectures en Transition” arrives in Luxembourg on January 16, 2025. It will be presented at the LUCA - Luxembourg Center for Architecture, with an opportunity for exchange between professionals, as well as with the general public at the inaugural conference at 6:30 p.m., followed by the vernissage.
Cities Connection Project (CCP) is a project that promotes exchanges between architects from different cities or regions. For its seventh edition, on the theme of “Architectures in Transition, reuse of built heritage and social responsibility”, CCP brings together high-quality architectural and urban projects from the Barcelona metropolitan area, Wallonia-Brussels, Luxembourg and the Grand-Est region.
These projects are paving the way for the transition to a more ethical building culture, with controlled environmental and social impacts. By opting for rehabilitation rather than demolition, by using sustainable and environmentally-friendly construction systems, and by reusing building materials, architects are beginning to realize their essential role as socially responsible players. For several years now, building culture has been undergoing a transition towards more responsible, environmentally-friendly architecture. For several years now, the building culture has been undergoing a transition towards more responsible, environmentally-friendly architecture. This vital transition in architecture will be long and full of obstacles, but it will be irreversible. The projects presented in the exhibition were selected by the curatorial team, made up of the two co-directors of the Cities Connection Project, Xavier Bustos and Nicola Regusci, the director of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures promotional agency, Nathalie Brison, César Reyes Nájera, postdoctoral researcher at the Master in Architecture at Uni.lu, and Maribel Casas, director of LUCA.
Until 15 February 2025.
