Molenwest

Programme: Construction of a public space and of a district center with a multi-sports hall, multi-purpose rooms, offices for associations, horeca and concierge accommondation in Molenbeek.

About: This project for a Square and Neighborhood Center, intended for local associations with a multi-sports hall, connects the precious parks and green spaces in this dense neighborhood with the mineral, active, and multi-modal public spaces of the Gare de l’Ouest.

The standalone building, with no immediate built surroundings, plays a major social and local role and serves as a new, recognizable urban landmark for the neighborhood, thanks to the volume of the multi-sports hall and the expression of the façades and visual identity of the building and its activities.
