Baukunst: Lescture in Paris

Adrien Verschuere will be the 5th guest in the Construire une pensée series on 20 March. He quotes the aphorism of the film-maker Robert Bresson, describing invention as a link ‘between people and things that exist and as they exist’.

Under the title ‘Building Knowledge - Pour une architecture performative’, his lecture will focus on the production of contemporary architectural thinking, supported by a selection of recent projects from his BAUKUNST practice.

A graduate in architecture from EPFL, Adrien Verschuere has been a visiting professor there since 2019. He is a regular critic and lecturer at various institutions. He founded BAUKUNST in Brussels in 2010, then in Lausanne in 2017. Bringing together art and technology, BAUKUNST engages the project as a research and knowledge factory, envisaging architecture as a medium capable of offering a thought of construction (BAU) as much as a construction of thought (KUNST).
