Construction of a "photovoltaic" carport

About

Construction of a mixed wood and steel structure, supporting photovoltaic panels or how to integrate solar panels when the orientation of the building is not suitable. 

 

The new structure is based on a "folded plane" of wood with an "optimal" inclination for the panels, covered with zinc. The structure is braced by a series of steel tubes anchored in the existing facade. In order not to disrupt the rainwater harvesting of the existing slate cladding, a slight gap is maintained between the carport roof and the latter. Everyone can then coexist in good collaboration.
