The XVII Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BEAU) is placing particular emphasis this year on the category “Dissemination and Publications”, recognising the essential role of editorial formats and mediation tools in shaping and transmitting architectural knowledge.

Among the award-winning projects in this category is Analogue Images, a project led by photographers Rory Gardiner and Maxime Delvaux. Their work explores the capacity of analogue photography to convey the materiality, atmospheres and nuances of contemporary architecture, moving away from the standardised visual codes of digital.

Through these selected proposals, the BEAU highlights the capacity of publishing - books, journals and hybrid platforms - to broaden debate, document emerging practices and nurture a shared architectural culture.
