Description: With a significant experience in collective housing, SPECIMEN questions the practices of space both in the way we will experience it but also in the way we will build it.
SPECIMEN has built several residential projects in laminated solid wood (CLT). Two of these projects were distinguished by architectural awards, which also reflects the environmental ambitions of the office which strives to guide sustainable choices in construction and strives to enhance existing resources by focusing on revaluation. The SPECIMEN office which benefits from extensive practical and theoretical experience in wood construction. Like any construction method, wooden construction has its own constraints, mastering these and considering structural questions from the design stage allows us to formulate relevant and realistic concrete responses from the sketch stage.
Whatever the subject, SPECIMEN always strives to ensure the quality of the production, transcending the simple need for space in order to provide additional qualities.
Specializing in grouped and participatory housing, the office's production defends a sober architecture, attentive to contemporary environmental issues.
