A new stop for Cities Connection Project #6!

The Ecole nationale supérieure d'architecture de Strasbourg will be hosting the exhibition from November 9 to 24, 2023. Yet another opportunity to discover the 60 projects and offices involved in this project dedicated to shared living spaces.

This theme has taken on unexpected importance in the context of the global health crisis: the pandemic seems to have changed the way we communicate and relate to each other, and the way we work. More than ever, these shared living spaces are indispensable places, places which, even if limited by the pandemic, still invite exchanges between users.

Cities Connection Project is an ode to contemporary architecture, created in this case by bringing together three European cities/regions - Wallonia-Brussels, Basel and Barcelona - chosen for the quality of their architectural achievements.
The principle is simple: twenty recent urban projects from a mix of programs (housing, schools, cultural centers, leisure centers, public spaces, green spaces...) in each of the three regions are presented in an exhibition. The sharing of spaces and activities, as well as the diversity of programs, are the common features of the projects illustrated in this exhibition, which highlights the different approaches and processes experimented by architects from different cities and countries in highly heterogeneous contexts.

This is the 6th edition of the "Cities Connection Project" cycle, curated by Nicola Regusci and Xavier Bustos. The aim of this project is to create a network of cultural connections between cities and regions in different parts of the world.

To coincide with the opening, an inaugural conference will be held at ENSAS on 9 November. The three speakers will be :

  • For Wallonie-Bruxelles, David Crambert - La Générale
  • For Basel, Friederike Kluge - ALMA MAKI ARCHITEKTUR
  • For Barcelona Jokin Santiago - Leku studio
