Project "INTERIORS" chosen for the Belgian Pavillon - Venice Biennale 2014

The project "INTERIORS. Notes and Figures" entered by Bernard Dubois, Sarah Levy, Sébastien Martinez Barat and Judith Wielander was singled out to occupy the Belgian pavillon at the 13th International architecture Biennale in Venice, representig the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (FWB) in 2014 .
 
The 30 entries were screened by a selection committee, made up of representatives from the FWB, Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI and WBA), as well as four experts:
 
- Maurizio Cohen, architect and curator of the exhibition "Floating Islands" representing the FWB at the 2002 Venice Biennale;
- Jean-Didier Bergilez, architect and curator of the exhibition "The Beauty of the Ordinary" representing the FWB at the 2006 Venice Biennale;
Lionel Devlieger, architectural engineer, member of ROTOR and curator of the "USUS/USURE" exhibition, representing the FWB at the 2010 Venice Biennale;
- Manuel Aires Mateus, architect, Aires mateus e associados, Portugal.
 
The general theme of the Rem Koolhaas-curated Biennale is "FUNDAMENTALS". As such, the national pavilions have been invited to work to the theme of "ABSORBING MODERNITY: 1914 - 2014".
