Central and Maxime Delvaux are set to perform at the Concéntrico Festival

© Concentrico The Brussels-based office CENTRAL Office for Architecture and Urbanism has teamed up with architectural photographer Maxime Delvaux for a project presented at the Concéntrico Festival, the international architecture and design festival held in Logroño.
A pavilion between architecture, action and memory
For Concéntrico, their collaboration takes the form of a project emerging from a typological observation of the architecture and built landscape of the region. This shared research gives rise to a pavilion conceived both as an architectural structure and as a photographic subject.
The project unfolds in two stages. It begins with a collective action centred on fire, conceived as a moment of gathering and shared ritual during the Saint John’s celebrations. This symbolic event evokes the idea of a collective exorcism in response to the uncertain times our societies are experiencing.
In a second stage, photography extends the experience. The image becomes the space where the event is transformed into visual memory — not only as documentation, but also as the construction of a collective moment.
Through this installation, CENTRAL and Maxime Delvaux explore the relationship between architecture, action and memory, raising a central question: how can an ephemeral gesture become memory?
