Cities Connection Project in Riga

From October 16 to 31, RISEBA – Faculty of Architecture in Riga will host the new edition of Cities Connection Project #7!

Architecture in Transition

The Cities Connection Project connects cities and their architecture to foster synergies between architects, cultural actors, governments, and universities across European cities.

Under the theme Architecture in Transition, this edition showcases 60 high-quality public architecture projects selected from the participating regions — Barcelona, Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Luxembourg, and Grand Est. During this tour, the exhibition will be enriched by 5 local projects. These works were chosen for their more ethical approach to construction, aiming to minimize environmental and social impacts.

Conferences

Alongside the exhibition's opening, a conference will bring together architects Baumans-Deffet (Liège) and Carvalho architects (Luxembourg) on October 16.

This collaboration with Riga follows an invitation extended to Elodie Degavre by the Latvian Association of Architects, to join the jury of the 29th edition of the Latvian National Architecture Award 2024. 

It is now Olivier Fourneau's turn to join the jury for the 30th edition.
