New video: Vilar Theater

As part of its mission to promote contemporary architecture in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, WBA is continuing its collaboration with the film's director Joanthan Ortegat. A new video has been added to this series dedicated to the international promotion of architecture in Wallonia-Brussels.

This capsule is dedicated to the transformation of the Théâtre Le Vilar in Louvain-la-Neuve, carried out by Ouest Architecture. Located in the heart of the university town, this emblematic theatre has undergone an in-depth renovation, combining respect for the existing building with bold contemporary interventions.

With sensitivity and rigour, Ouest Architecture has re-qualified the interior spaces, clarified the circulation routes and asserted the identity of the venue through a new facade in sculpted raw concrete. The project enhances the theatre's visibility and accessibility within the urban fabric, while renewing its relationship with the public and the stage.

The capsule was designed by Jonathan Ortegat, who captured the atmosphere, materials and lines of the building with finesse. He has surrounded himself with a talented team:
