Video: Chaufferie by Baumans-Deffet

WBA is continuing its collaboration with Jonathan Ortegat - video artist and architectural photographer - to promote Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures' architectural operators internationally. The aim of the videos is to showcase contemporary projects built by FWB architects.

This time, we invite you to discover the Chaufferie project by Baumans-Deffet. The project involves refurbishing the former boiler house of the Université du Travail in Charleroi to create a Design Skills Center. The project is intended to be exemplary in terms of circularity, and seeks to reveal the spatial richness emanating from the tensions established between the requirements of a given program and the formal particularities of a pre-existing site.

To produce this video, Jonathan Ortegat called on a team comprising Armelle Fouat as camera assistant, Xavier Vincké for editing, Loup Mormont for music, Jean Forest for graphics, Jeanne Debarsy for mixing and Lucien Keller for color grading.
