WBA will be present at the Belgian Pavilion at MIPIM in Cannes

© Pavillon belge From 10 to 13 March 2026, MIPIM will take over the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. As the world’s leading real estate event, the fair brings together more than 20,000 property professionals and investors from 90 countries each year, across more than 300 stands.
This year’s edition will focus on innovation, decarbonisation and responses to the global housing demand. The programme will also spotlight the impact of artificial intelligence, the transformation of data centres and sustainable investment strategies.
“Real Belgium”: a new concept for 2026
For this edition, the Belgian Pavilion will unveil a new concept entitled “Real Belgium” — a direct reference both to real estate and to an authentic Belgium. The theme seeks to strengthen the pavilion’s visibility while asserting a clear and distinctive identity rooted in local expertise and cultural context.
As in previous years, the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) will coordinate the presence of the Walloon Region within the Belgian Pavilion, alongside Brussels Invest & Export.

Two architects supported by WBA
Two practices supported by Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures will also feature in the programme of the Belgian Pavilion.
The practice A2M will present Regenerative Architecture in a World of Fluctuations, while AAFH – Frédéric Haesevoets Architecture will contribute Namur / Architectural Convers(at)ion. Together, these two interventions reflect the diversity of architectural approaches emerging from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and their engagement with contemporary debates on the city and architecture.
Two screenings at the Pavilion
The Pavilion will also feature two screenings dedicated to architecture and contemporary urban transformations.
The documentary Beyond The Pavilion, directed by Mister Emma, follows the trajectories of five Walloon architects who designed the Belgian Pavilion for major international events such as the World Expo and the Floriade. Through their projects, the film reveals distinct architectural approaches while highlighting the growing importance of sustainable and innovative architecture.
The film « Living and working in NovaCity I », directed by Jonathan Ortegat, presents Brussels’ first vertical mixed-use development. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the designers and developers, focusing on the key lessons drawn from the project.
