Baukunst - Architecture on Stage : Conference at the Barbican Centre in London

Architect Adrien Verschuere, founder of Baukunst (Brussels), has been invited by London’s Barbican Centre to give a lecture on 23 October 2025 as part of the Architecture on Stage series.

The next day day, he will take part in a round-table discussion alongside several international architects.

Baukunst: a practice between research and materiality

Adrien Verschuere established Baukunst in Brussels in 2008. From the outset, the practice stood out: its first two projects were nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award. Since then, Baukunst has developed an approach that combines constructive rigour, conceptual radicality, and a strong focus on use.

Among the recent projects presented in London is FRAME, a new Brussels hub dedicated to the media, audiovisual and communications sector, designed in collaboration with the French office Bruther.
