The architecture office OUEST architecture is participating in the Chilean project Talksas, an architectural and curatorial initiative developed as part of (Des)Límite Paisaje Infinito, an exhibition that brought together more than 35 artists, including 11 international participants, around the notions of limit, border and landscape, explored as physical, cultural and symbolic realities.

Talksas: an architectural reflection on limits and territory in Chile

In its architectural dimension, Talksas takes the form of a neighbourhood project composed of six houses, located on the hills overlooking Talca, Chile. The project is collectively designed by several offices belonging to the Supersudaca collective, bringing together Planta Arquitectos (Argentina), Habitante del Espacio (Argentina), 51-1 Arquitectos (Peru), OUEST architecture (Belgium), as well as Nicolas Dorval-Bory (France) and Archmotion Estudio (Chile).

Situated on a hillside of the Maule River valley, at the southern frontier of the former Tahuantinsuyo Empire, the site offers expansive views of the Andes mountain range and the Descabezado volcano. This powerful geography provides a structuring framework for the architectural proposals, conceived as situated responses, attentive to landscape, cultural and territorial conditions.

The presentation of the project by OUEST architecture can be discovered in video form.
