The exhibition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards 2024 that opened in Barcelona and has travelled to Madrid, Buenos Aires, Zagreb, Vienna, Prague, Wroclaw, Timisoara, Gdansk, Brasilia and Córdoba, stopped in Brasilia and is now on show in São Paulo.
The exhibition is presented in the context of the 14ᵃ Bienal Internacional de Arquitetura de São Paulo and includes the winning and finalist works that form a cartography of the best European architecture of the last two years.
The Biennale focuses on how architecture can face the effects of climate change and build more resilient cities. Radical solutions are explored, ranging from advanced technologies to traditional knowledge, to preserve forests, reforest cities, manage water, reuse buildings, promote renewable energies and ensure climate justice and dignified housing.
In this context, the EUmies Awards 2024 exhibition is a unique opportunity to explore some of the most outstanding works of contemporary European architecture that address these issues, through drawings, photographs, texts and videos.
