Olivier Fourneau and AgwA win the BigMat 2025 international architecture prize

The 2025 edition of the BigMat International Architecture Award has revealed its winners, with two major international prizes presented this year.

The BigMat Grand Prize for Proximity Architecture has been awarded to Birgit’s Home in Calvim, Spain, designed by TEd’A arquitectes.
The BigMat Grand Prize for Architecture goes to the TIC Terminal Intermodal de Campanhã in Portugal, by Brandão Costa Arquitectos.

Two national prizes in Belgium

The Wallonia-Brussels Federation stands out once again with two distinguished projects recognised in the national categories.

The BigMat National Prize for Proximity Architecture in Belgium 2025 has been awarded to Kurth, in Liège, designed by Oliver Fourneau Architectes.
This prize highlights an architecture that is context-sensitive, carefully situated and attentive to the human scale.

The BigMat National Prize for Architecture in Belgium 2025 distinguishes the Charleroi Palais des Expositions, in Charleroi, by AgwA and Architecten Jan de Vylder Inge Vinck.
The project showcases the combining built heritage, contemporary transformation and cultural relevance.
