Much like ‘sustainability’ a decade ago, ‘circularity’ is falling prey to conceptual inflation. In the May issue of the Architectural Review, Michaël Ghyoot and Tom Schoonjans comment on the different forms of appropriation that threaten to strip circularity of its critical potential, drawing on the concept’s history and Rotor’s own projects.

Additionally, their former colleagues and authors of Ad Hoc Baroque, Lionel Devlieger, Arne Vande Capelle and Stijn Colon together with Aude-Line Dulière and James Westcott, have contributed to this month’s ‘Reputations’ piece with a portrait of Marcel Raymaekers.
