Screening in Boston

On 18 June, the Boston Society of Architects is inviting Mister Emma to take part in a conference on the place of women in architecture, with a screening of her report ‘Women in Architecture’.

The film gathers frank conversations with international women in design – from researchers to practitioners – highlighting ongoing challenges and opportunities for changing the status quo of women in architecture, especially with cultural movements such as #metoo. What are past and current battles for women in architecture around the world? Has visibility increased in books, in academia, on reference sites, and in international awards?

Featured profiles include Francesca Perani (Architect and Curtaor of Architette, Italy), Eliana Perotti (Senior researcher at ETH Zurich, Switzerland), Patricia Santos Pedrosa (President of Mulheres na Aruitectura, Portugal), Lori Brown (Co-founder ArchiteXX, Professor at Syracuse University, USA) and Andrea Leers and Jane Weinzapfel (Founders of Leers Weinzapfel Associates, USA). The screening will be followed with a discussion with Emma Dessouroux and Andrea Leers, FAIA.
