TAKTYK at EDINBURGH COLLEGE OF ARTS

Each year, the David Skinner Memorial Lecture pays tribute to a recognised landscape architecture practice or practitioner whose work is of excellent quality and whose ambitious theoretical base is sound. This year's guest speakers are the co-founders of Taktyk, Thierry Kandjee and Sébastien Penfornis.

Since 2005, from Rotterdam to Barcelona, from Paris to Brussels and more recently in Zurich, Taktyk has been envisaged as an evolving, adaptive and reactive entity faced with new heterogeneous and complex challenges. For the past 20 years, Taktyk has acted as conductor, curator and mediator of processes of transformation, drawing on the tacit knowledge of gardening, DIY and painting. This conference will highlight the emergence and evolution of Taktyk's contribution to the field of landscape, and how they envisage their future practices.

The lecture will take place on 3 April 2025 at 6pm at West Court, Edinburgh College of Art.
