AgwA, an architecture of practice

© Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures

AgwA architecture office was founded in 2003 in Brussels by Harold Fallon and Benoît Vandenbulcke.

As many others, the office was almost immediately projected in the arbitrary realm of a deconstructed architectural field, with a vast amount of masters to look at, with infinite technical possibilities, and with landscapes that are continuously reshaped.

Are there still relevant ideologies to follow or is architecture recentering on individual practices? During 9 years of intensive practice, the work of AgwA in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia has embodied a permanent research on these issues.
The exhbition contains 6 main projects and retraces how AgwA developed a coherent architectural approach beyond the issue of arbitrariness, and how the inner design processes became its underlying condition.

The exhibition is organized in the framework of the doctoral research by design practice led by Harold Fallon at the RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) with the support of LUCA School of Arts - Sint-Lucas Architectuur in Belgium.
