Eva Le Roi: Gare St-Sauveur in Lille

© Eva Le Roi The illustrator Eva Le Roi contributed towards the exhibition Les Usages du Monde being held at the Gare St-Sauveur in Lille from 9 September to 8 November2020 for Lille Métropole2020, design capital.
Her project, entitled Lithosphère – Hydrosphère – Atmosphère introduces the exhibition. It is a linear, printed work of 1m high and 7.5m long. It gives an insight into the theme of the Anthropocene, a free representation of the biosphere, a thin film on the Earth’s surface containing all living things. Territory ‘allocated to the governance of Man’ (Gilles Clément) and altered irreversibly, revealed here in cut-out form.
