Julien de Smet participates in Istanbul workshop

Julien De Smet will take part in the Ideas City: Istanbul World Café workshop on Sunday, October 14th, 2-4pm @ SALT Galata

 

 

IDEAS CITY: Istanbul is a three-day conference in Istanbul on October 11th, 12th and 14th, 2012, organized by the New Museum, New York, and held in conjunction with the inaugural Istanbul Design Biennial.

 

 

IDEAS CITY is a festival that explores the future of cities around the globe with the organizing principle that arts and culture are a driving force behind the vitality of urban centers. IDEAS CITY was founded by the New Museum as a major collaborative initiative between dozens of arts, education, and community organizations working together to effect change. The festival is held every other year in New York (the next one will take place from May 1–4, 2013) with satellite conferences and workshops taking place in international cities during the alternate years. IDEAS CITY: Istanbul is the first of these international events, addressing this year's IDEAS CITY topic of Untapped Capital.

 

One of his projects is on the model that WBA exhibits at the Biennial.
