Ney & Partners: wins design for Wilhelmina IBA Parkstad (NL)

The jury of the Internationale Bauaustellung Parkstad made public their preference for the design of Ney & Partners. A specific geometric shape – the oloid – is the inspiration for the crowning of the 20th century slag heap. The former remainder of the mining history will become a viewpoint. It is the terminus of an existing 90 m high staircase. The platform is a new public space and wants to be a 21st century icon for the region.
