Pierre Hebbelinck shortlisted for the EU MIES AWARD 2019
383 works from 238 cities in 38 countries have been nominated for the 2019 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.
The jury formed by Dorte Mandrup (Chairwoman), Frank McDonald, María Langarita, Kamiel Klaasse, Ștefan Ghenciulescu, Angelika Fitz and George Arbid has shortlisted 40 projects. Among them the Halles Perret in Montataire (France) designed by the Atelier d'Architecture Pierre Hebbelinck in collaboration with HBAAT.The project consists in the transformation, renovation and extension of the Halles des Perret for a cultural centre housing a music school, dance school, broadcasting room and recording studio.

The Mies van der Rohe Award is granted every two years to acknowledge and reward quality architectural production in Europe. The prize objectives aim at promoting and understanding the significance of quality and reflecting the complexity of Architecture's own significance in terms of technological, constructional, social, economic, cultural and aesthetic achievements.
