SNCDA: Bauwelt Award 2023 - Berlin

For the twelfth time, the architecture magazine Bauwelt has awarded the Bauwelt "Das erste Haus" prize - this year in collaboration with the Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) and Kingspan.

Out of 130 entries, the jury selected six first works: from conversion projects using recycled building materials to housing construction, from temporary interventions to the sustainable development of a public space to an office building.

Winners:

  • studioSER, Lugano/Zurich: urban interventions in the Monte district of the municipality of Castel San Pietro in Ticino, Switzerland.
  • studio SNCDA, Brussels/Luxembourg: fire station with integrated multi-purpose hall and emergency accommodation in Dilbeek, Belgium
  • MeierUnger, Leipzig: "Stöckli" (retirement home) in Selzach, Switzerland
  • Maximilian Hartinger, Munich/Berlin: henhouse made from recycled building materials in Schönberg, Germany
  • c/o now, Berlin: detached house in Schmergrow, Germany
  • ANA, Munich: Transformation of a viaduct arch into a bicycle shop in Innsbruck, Austria

This exhibition will be on show at the Architektur Galerie in Berlin from 14 to 22 July 2023. Opening on 13 July at 7pm.
