Studio SNCDA rewarded by the Bauwelt Preis
For the fire station in Dilbeek, the Belgian-Luxembourg firm SNCDA has been rewarded by a 2023 Bauwelt-Preis.
This award is given to architects who have submitted their first works. Six projects in total were rewarded, including the construction of the new fire station in Dilbeek (Belgium) by Studio SNCDA led by Sara Noel Costa de Araujo. This project was carried out in collaboration with the graphic designer KarelMartens and the engineers from Bollinger + Grohmann for the framework (surface area: 3,525m2, budget: 6.2 million euros).
The other winning projects were: ANA (Lukas Fink, Tobias Fink) & David Fink, in Munich for the conversion of a viaduct arch into a bike shop in Innsbruck (Austria); c/o now,Berlin for a single-family house in Schmergrow (Germany; Maximilian Hartinger for a henhouse made from recycled construction materials in Schönberg (Germany); Meier Unger Architeckten for a ‘Stöckli’ on a farm in Selzach (Switzerland); studioSER for their small project in the Monte neighbourhood of the Swiss municipality of Castel San Pietro.
The winning projects will be part of an exhibition at DAM Deutsches Architekturmuseum in Frankfurt in spring 2023. They will also have a publication in Bauwelt.
