Exhibition EUMies Awards 2024 in Brasilia

© WBA The exhibition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards 2024, that opened in Barcelona and has travelled to Madrid, Buenos Aires, Zagreb, Vienna, Prague and Wroclaw, stops now in Brasilia.
The exhibition – visited by Mr. António Costa, President of the Council of Europe, in the context of the European Union-Brazil summit – offers a unique opportunity to explore some of the most outstanding works of contemporary European architecture through drawings, photos, texts and videos.
As part of the exhibition, a special event will take place on Thursday, 5th June, at the Espaço Cultural Renato Russo (508 Asa Sul, Brasília), from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. This gathering will host a series of talks and discussions under the theme: “Colloquium Brazil–European Union: New Bauhaus, Territory, and Belonging in the 21st Century”.
This event brings together architects, researchers, cultural institutions, and design professionals from both Brazil and Europe to reflect on the transformative potential of architecture. It will feature Anna Ramos (Director of Fundació Mies van der Rohe) Prof. Ethel Leon (FAU-USP), Prof. Caio Frederico e Silva (FAU-UnB), the Emerging Finalists of the EUmies Awards 2024, Branco del Rio arquitetos, authors of the Square and Tourist Office in Piódão, Matheus Seco, Samuel Lamas and Thiago de Andrade. The conversations will be moderated by Luiza Coelho (IAB-DF).
The event is free and open to the public, with on-site registration beginning at 2:00 PM.
