The winners of the 2024 Architecture Book Prize have been announced
The Prix du livre d'architecture, awarded by the Académie d'Architecture de Paris, aims to promote the quality of architecture among the general public and to provide a critical and committed vision of the sector. The Académie d'Architecture wanted to reward a committed vision when it presented the Architecture Book Prize on 19 November 2024.
The thirtieth edition of this award, chaired by Academy member Sylvie Clavel, ‘highlights works that place architecture at the centre of society and that, under the guise of paying tribute to architects and their works of yesteryear, tackle the issues of today. Architecture that is sensitive to its contemporaries is architecture that will be able to tackle the challenges of tomorrow’, it states in a press release.
This year's Architecture Book Prize was awarded to Caroline Mierop and Jean-Pierre Hoa for their book ‘Simone Guillissen-Hoa : architecte, 1916-1996’ (Prisme Éditions).
