International press visit - Wallonia-Brussels

WBA is organising an international press tour for the presentation of Reappropriations, the new ICA-WB exhibition at the Halles Universitaires de Louvain-la-Neuve from 12 October to 26 November 2023.

The exhibition invites visitors to discover spatial strategies that can repair the damaged world in which we live. On an architectural and territorial scale, these projects propose extending existing buildings rather than using virgin space, regenerating current structures instead of demolishing and rebuilding, and integrating the reuse of building materials. Models, photographs, films, drawings, collages and interviews create a dialogue between completed architectural projects, expert spatial studies and citizen participation.

Réappropriations also celebrates the national release of Architectures Wallonie-Bruxelles Inventaires #4 Inventories 2020-2023. This publication, overseen by the ICA, published by the Architecture Unit of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and distributed internationally by Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures, is committed to promoting spatial approaches, both projects and actions, that can trigger the necessary spatial, environmental and societal transition.
