Espèces d'architecte

© Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures

Espèces d'architecte illustrates the extraordinary vitality of architectural culture in Wallonia and in Brussels over the length of a season in Paris between November 2008 and July 2009.

Inspired by a monographic exhibition by the Atelier d'Architecture Pierre Hebbelinck et Pierre de Wit (Méthodologie du sensible) and at the invitation of the French-speaking Community Wallonia-Brussels, the Belgian architect and curator, Cédric Libert put together a programme of exhibitions, colloquia and meetings, exploring the links between architecture and photography (L'Alibi documentaire), art (Digital Park I), Space and digital technologies (Le Passe-Muraille), film and video (Lieux communs), publishing, criticism and graphic design (Béton & Garamond), Highlighting the key role of the public and private  contracting authorities (Win-Win).

With the sole aim of offering a snapshot of this protean season, Espèces d'architecte / Wallonie-Bruxelles à Paris, 2008-2009 bring together, in one single volume, the catalogue of these different events.
