Cities Connection Project in Riga
« Architectures in Transition »

© CCP Riga Until 13 February, the atrium of the Riga University of Technology is hosting the travelling Cities Connection Project exhibition Architectures in Transition, dedicated to architectural practices engaged with contemporary climatic, social and heritage-related challenges.
Architectures in Transition brings together projects developed in Barcelona, the Brussels–Wallonia Region, Luxembourg and the Grand Est region. All of them examine the transformation of the built environment through the lens of social and environmental responsibility. In response to climate change and evolving public policies, architects are increasingly favouring renovation over demolition, exploring sustainable materials and developing approaches based on circularity, energy sobriety and user well-being.
Presented in an academic setting, the exhibition highlights exemplary projects in terms of adaptive reuse of existing buildings, circular economy strategies and the development of low-carbon urban environments.
