About

The project is set on a steep, triangular site where vegetation forms both the natural framework and the very essence of the place. Deeply attached to the site’s landscape identity, the clients expressed a strong desire to preserve the unique character of this wooded plot, marked by the presence of locally native deciduous trees. These constraints, combined with the architectural program, led to a distinctive layout designed to engage in a subtle dialogue with the surrounding landscape.

The house is embedded within the forest, retreating into the natural topography to achieve a seamless integration. Nestled among the trees, it blends into the vegetal canopy, concealed by the density of the foliage and becoming a discreet yet essential component of the site. While contemporary in its architectural expression, the building draws inspiration from local architectural codes, establishing a strong connection with its context while asserting an elegant and respectful modernity.

The internal spatial organization follows the same integrative approach. Carefully positioned openings frame selected views of the undergrowth, capturing filtered light and the interplay of shadows cast by the canopy. Bathed in natural light, the interior volumes are designed to offer full immersion in the landscape, allowing the inhabitants to live in close symbiosis with their environment.
