Grand Prix d'Architecture de Wallonie 2012

The Grand Prix d'Architecture de Wallonie aims to reward new or renewed architectural works, private or public, in various categories, which fit into their environment in a relevant manner. Their date of construction must be no more than six years ago.
 
The following categories were open to entries : Individual living spaces, communal housing, public or private, non residential buildings and architectural exterior spaces.
 
The winners are :
 
- in the categorie I « Individual living spaces», Stéphane MEYRANT of the office ARCADUS (Péruwelz) for the realization of  « Bois-du Cahut » in Mourcourt (Tournai);

- in the categorie II « communal housing», the project « Vivegnis Housing » (Liège) designed by URBANPLATFORM (Bruxelles). A mention has also been given to Sébastien BORCH for his project in Eupen;

- in the categorie III « non residential buildings », L'Escaut Architecture (Bruxelles) in momentary association with Bureau d'Etudes Weinand (Liège) for the Cultural Hall « Victor Jara » in Soignies. Two mentions were also attributed to Daniel DELGOFFE (Liège) for the School of Ninane(Chaudfontaine) and to l'Atelier 229 – for l'Institut Technique Provincial à Court-Saint-Etienne.

- in the categorie IV « architectural exterior spaces », Stéphane MEYRANT of the office ARCADUS (Péruwelz) for le Promenoir des Cimes(Péruwelz).

Two special mentions were given to :  Arlette BAUMANS – Bernard DEFFET (Liège) for the Optic shop and to the office ARTAU (Malmedy), for the expansion of the l'Hôtel du Val d'Amblève in Stavelot.
