WBA, the Pavillon de l'Arsenal in Paris and the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles in Paris present (Un)City - (Un)Real State of the (Un)Known from the 4th of November to the 8th of December 2013. With this collaboration, which allows the Pavillon de l'Arsenal to continue its exploration of contemporary metropolises, WBA sets out to stud two cities in the throes of transformation, Brussels and Paris, in a comparative perspective while pursuing its brief of raising the international profile of Belgian architects on the international stage. The core questions of this project, curated by Cédric Libert, are addressed through an exhibition, but also through a new publication and two discussions: an inaugural lecture on Monday, the 4th of November at 7 p.m. and a debate on Saturday, the 9th of November at 4 p.m. on recent architectural book edition in Brussels and Wallonia. Among the seven books presented in the exhibition two new titles are co-produced by WBA, which are presented in France on this occasion: the second editions of (Un)city by Cédric Libert and of Wallonie-Bruxelles Architectures. Inventories by orthodoxe association. The photos featured in both publications are the work of the talented young photographer Maxime Delvaux. | |||
